It's not a Ford, but I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience owning or repairing a Mitsubishi 3000GT.
My coworker is willing to give me his car because he claims that its hard to shift, so I figured I'd take it off his hands. Don't know anything about these nor do I know if it's even worth my time to fix. It's supposedly running good other than the shifter (5spd) is getting difficult to put into gear. Worse case scenario I gut it and beat it up at some local autocross events
If anyone knows anything about these, please chime in. It's a 1996 non-turbo, non-awd model. Thanks

Take bets t-case is broken if it is a awd version (vr4). If it is the t-case, be prepared to spend a nice chunk of change on it. Cars are pretty much junk. Goes for the Dodge Stealths also. [ 2015-12-22, 10:51 PM: Message edited by: warhorse58gt ]

In Grand Turismo 1 , the 3000GT was called a GTO and was the fastest car you could upgrade to. Better handling than any other car in the game and had the highest top speed.

If it was a VR4 it would be worth it. Don't waste your time or money. Those are big heavy turds as base models.

Thanks for the input guys. This is a base model car...non-VR4, non-AWD.
I may just take it for shits and giggles but will try not to put much, if any, money into it to get it going.

We had a VR4 at one, pretty reliable and very sturdy.
