Anyone go see it yet? I was lucky enough to see the advanced screening yesterday. I rather enjoyed the movie, they did the Hollywood thing and changed some of it, but that's okay, time to usher in these new characters anyways. Thoughts?

I liked how they had elements of old, new and some of the Extended Universe. I'm glad they went the route they did.

The movies from the 70s are so good, but I can see where you could get bored with them, since they were made in the 70s its a rough watch nowadays since we've been so spoiled.

Bingo....That's why you never see kids playing street football anymore, you see them inside on their play stations playing madden nfl..Technology has changed since then. Has changed the whole world. I think we would have all been entertained with the cave man times watching chukka the cave man throwing a dinosaur bone as far as he can in those times....Diff times=Diff circumstances...

I went to see this at the galaxy theater in river bank and I was very disappointed I kept on thinking that this is just a remake of a new hope

and then I could not figure out what killing Han had to do with any thing with Ren's abilitys

Same here, I still haven't been able to sit through one Star Wars movie yet

Lol, so if there's 200 seats available (for example) and 200 people go in to watch, there all going to get a good seat? All I know is many of them will get fucked and it's not gonna to be me lol

I wouldn't say it was an exact remake, but I can see the huge similarities. By Ben killing his father, that was the final.straw to cement his turn to the dark side. I was more tripped up by how Rey beasted on him in the end, like, this man was trained by Luke Skywalker and now has the power of the Dark Side coursing through him.

Ren killing him made him more complete in the darkside of the force.

except Chewy had shot him with his blaster and he was injuried by Finn as well. I don't think he was 100%

No one dressed up, I did wear my Mark Ecko Boba Fett jacket tho. I have some killer Nike SB Dunks that were released in 2008 that match his armor perfect. Lulzzzzz

watched it, and i will watch it again next saturday. Then i will buy it when it comes out on itunes.

im glad they did not go overboard on the special effects, and badass that they used the original chracters.

I watched it on my amazon fire stick with kodi and it wasnt that great. Looked like someone filmed it with a camcorder.

Just watched it last night in Tracy with reserved seating and comfy reclining seats [Big Grin]

I agree, I like how they didn't overdue it on the special effects, just enough. Will definitely watch it again.

Saw it a couple weeks ago and I thought it was really good. Not a die hard Star Wars fan but I do love the movies. I was kinda pissed about how weak Ben was compared to Ray. I mean he's been training for years just to get his ass whooped by a nooby.

For those more die hard Star Wars fans, you should look up the whole jar jar binks theory. It'll blow your mind

Rey couldnt be a Kenobi's kid. The timeline dosent add up; he died in episode IV (30+ years between episode IV and VII).....she isnt 30 years old.

Maybe a Skywalker (luke's kid)...I personally think she is another Anakin type, created by the force.... I think snoke could be Plagueis, Emperor Palpatine's master. Its even possible she is a force creation like anakin but made by Luke.

I think shes a Skywalker. Her flash backs were memories, she was at the Jedi training with Luke. Luke knew the first order/Ben/Kylo Ren would be looking for him when he goes in hiding and she would be in danger too so he took her to that planet knowning someday she would find him.

theyre thinking rey is kenobi's grand daughter. not particularly a fan of that theory but it adds up at least. if i had to guess, snoke is most likely plagueis because it fits into the story smoothly. either way, cant wait for the next one to come out.

This basically sums up what I was gonna a say. I like that she could be a Kenobi, she fights like him, has the accent even. They just make it too obvious that she's Luke's. I can't wait either, 5/17 is so long.
