I work in the tech industry. However I sold a lot of cars, saved for a long while. The last car purchase I made was in 2010, and I always put a little aside for upgrading later. Plus if you make over 100k and live in the Bay Area, it's nowhere near the same if you live almost anywhere else in the country. So it's very easy to live paycheck to paycheck in the bay even making over 200k if you don't discipline your spending. So that 47k car now becomes a 94k car based on how much extra you need to make to afford it. <br /> </font> </td></tr> </table></td></tr></table> <br /> <br />
