I've been on the hunt also, have two dealers I've located at $5k over (lowest I've found) but I am also only looking at those carrying the options I want. If you pm/text me your ideal car I'll tell you the dealers that have it/are receiving it.
Problem is most of the smaller dealers that will sell at msrp won't order one until it's sold and so there's no advertisement and it's not easy to call all 3k ford dealers

Not an R model. I want the back seat. Plus the R's are almost impossible to to find and have a crazy markup. I think all the ones produced for 2016 are already spoken for

No. 47k is not exactly a lot of money nowadays for a new car

Not a lot... but significantly above the average of $33,560. You're talking about a nearly 50% increase there.

Didn't really give it that much thought, just thought I'd let SantaClara_Cobra know that people who buy outright or finance a 47k car aren't rich. The original poster also mentioned he was trying to find one without a dealer mark up, which is a dead give away he's on a budget, if your rich, minor stuff like dealer mark ups are irrelevant.

Ive purchased two cars in the last year that were 37k and 30k, paid cash. I am not rich. I just manage my finances well.
It can be done.

Well I am definitely not poor by any means. I work in the tech industry. However I sold a lot of cars, saved for a long while. The last car purchase I made was in 2010, and I always put a little aside for upgrading later. Traded in a paid off 2010 model to but the newer 2016 model with some extra cash down, then sold a mustang and used that money to buy the 2013 + extra cash.
not all that hard I could have had a GT350 but I refuse to go into debt.

When you make more they tax you more, so when you see all these mutherfucking tents outside saying free smartphones, you put your hands up thinking this is what my extra money that I made on paper is paying for broke people to have a goddamn smartphone for free. Plus if you make over 100k and live in the Bay Area, it's nowhere near the same if you live almost anywhere else in the country. So it's very easy to live paycheck to paycheck in the bay even making over 200k if you don't discipline your spending. So that 47k car now becomes a 94k car based on how much extra you need to make to afford it.
