Well that is sort of supply and demand still. People still make the purchases...they just don't go in blindly without knowing what ballpark figures the actual car is worth (it does not affect the supply and demand).
Actual worth of the car is approximately $2800..with the add-ons..perhaps another $300-600 more, but that is where negotiations go in. If he has receipts for the motor and add-ons that would make the difference though. An aftermarket block should get him the price he is asking...
