Anybody have any insight on a good shop to stud the heads of my diesel or any idea of the cost associated with such a project.
Thanks

My neighbor just popped a HG on his 6.0 Excursion. He was quoted $10k to basically bulletproof it.

A friend of mine does these all day long at the shop he works at, Reliable Automotive in Antioch/Oakley. They do fleet work and have established a pretty good name for themselves in the short time they've been open. Its worth getting a quote IMO.

10k plus for me to have it bullet proof for my use would be a waist of money. I have not tuner or modifications other than a 4" straight pipe exhaust. All I use it for is a daily driver and occasional towing of my el camino or a dump run here and there. Just looking to get rid of the junk TTY bolts for piece of mind.

It's a 40 hour plus job to do head studs.

I would hope so since vic has been a ford service writer for 20 plus years before left to go out on his own.

Diesel will break your wallet when the need repairs doesn't matter who makes them.

That's why when I get one, you will help me for a 12 pack.
