My car was hit somehow while parked, it scraped up the front bumper. My question is, when filing the claim the adjuster said its under collision, but no fault. How will this affect my rates if filed? she told me I could cash out minus deductible, or have a shop fix it and I pay the deductible.

my wife's car was hit while parked, it went under collision, repair was under $1k but still more than our $500 deductible. I had them fix it and paid the deductible directly to the shop of my choice. Our rates did not change.

Your rate should only go up if it's your fault. Since you claimed that someone hit your car while parked your rates shouldn't go up.

Youre not at fault. Rate shouldn't change.
