So my dad last drove this truck in 1978. Now that i have it a driver i'm debating leaving the body as you see it. What you guys think?

Primer the hood, then distress it. Leave the rest of the body as is. Looks cool. I'd also do a small round side mirror just above the wing window.

Well i guess i forgot to mention that the entire drive train is 04 Zo6 vette since we had bought an entire driving car for this swap we decided to use the gauge cluster in the swap so we didnt have to convert digital to analog and it surprisingly looks pretty good. I think that being the truck has been in the family for so many years we should leave it to show it's age. waiting on some hub spacers to be able to mount the front speedline wheels

Sneaky, I like it. I thought those were corvette rims in the first picture. I think it deserves a good paint job.

Well you still could have gone electric autometer gauges. But I like it. Maybe someday I'll do an LS7 swap in a nova or Chevelle.

I knew something was up in the first picture because the glimpse of the undercarriage didn't match the condition of the body. Sick truck just wish you would've gone with a better gauge setup.

yeah we went back and forth with the gauges we wound up using the factory z06 cluster mainly because of easy plug-n-play and almost every 57 chevy truck you see has the same gauge cluster when after market. the next step is fabbing a air intake i'm wanting to run a y and a 4' tube on both sides of the engine exiting out the inner fenders up front but i'm thinking i would have to run a second massair sensor any thoughts?

That's badass. Its kinda hard to tell from the pic, but it doesn't look like you have many options as far as the intake elbow goes. It would look sick to have dual tubes coming out. Maybe mount the MAF directly to the tb and change the position of the fans to give more room for a Y splitter.
