My apologies for another "what is my car worth" post added to the forum, but I'm genuinely stumped. I've had my GT for about two years now and am kicking around the idea of selling it to get a classic car. My Dad has a '56 Buick and I think it would be an awesome father/son thing to be able to go to the same car shows. As anyone in the car scene knows, the classic car groups don't allow the new school cars to play in their reindeer games. Here's what I've got…
*Disclaimer - I'm fully aware there are those who believe modifications/upgrades add zero value over bluebook as well as there are people who believe anyone paying over bluebook for a car with extremely low miles is equally stupid…
2001 Mustang GT 'Vert 28k Original Miles 5-speed Black leather interior Mach 460 Clean Title/Clean Carfax/3 Owner Full Authentic Saleen kit (Purchased from a CA Fords Member) Rare Center-mount exhaust (Magnapacks) Authentic Saleen Speedster cover CDC Lightbar 18x9 18x10 Replica Saleen wheels Steeda Springs MM C/C Plates SR Performance CAI SR Performance Shifter Couple interior dress ups and aftermarket head unit Tint
Exterior is a 9.5/10 Interior is 9.8/10 Drives like a new car with the exception of the wheels needing to be re-balanced
KBB Private Party Value - $8,553
What say you CA Fords?

It's what ever someone is willing to pay. But I would say between 8-10

Its very hard to come across a low mileage new edge GT. I've been looking around for a <50k mile coupe and everyone wants top dollar for them. I'd say ATLEAST $10k. Maybe start it out at $13k. KBB means nothing on a car like this. [ 2015-04-26, 10:02 AM: Message edited by: Robb ]

I would take this out of your ad when you go to sell it: "Full Authentic Saleen kit (Purchased from a CA Fords Member)"
That would lower the car's value for sure Very nice car btw and I think you can get top dollar if you wait for the right buyer, just don't rush the sale

That's the tough part. My car is so unique in the combination of modifications and miles that part of me feels like it should fetch a premium, but I'm not sure if that's just because it's MY car and I know what has all gone into making what it is. I think if/when the time comes to sell it I will need to list it high like you recommended and wait for the right buyer to come along.

Nothing outside of a cold air intake, steeds springs, and exhaust. It sounds lame to say, but I'd much rather have something reliable and relatively stock than run the risk of throwing a ton of mods on it and risking ruining the drivability.

I agree with you! I'm more of a stock motor fan myself, though I do like/need my suspension mods. If/when you determine a price, please let me know. I love me a white Saleen!
