The next thing i was looking at doing was getting a new trunk lid for the old fox. I got the luggage rack on there and i dont really like it. What do you guys think?? Keep it to maintain stock or buy a new lid that doesnt have em ? And if i buy a new one from late model are they pre drilled for all four hinges ( convertible ) ?? And how easy is it to put all the lock hardware back on ??

lose the rack.
there should be a plastic piece under the hinges that you can use a template to drill holes (if it isn't already drilled)
I have a coupe trunk lid painted silver if your interested. does not have holes for the hinge but the locking mechanism/light is there..ill have to ask my buddy if he wants to sell it.

I also have a convertible I had the luggage rack but wasn't digging it at all and once I removed the rack I think the whole car looked 100x better

Depends on how much luggage you plan on having strapped to the top of the trunkster.
