So I'm looking for these guys to swap in a 3.73 gear. They quoted $400 for install if I brought the ring and pinion but no warranty. $655 if they provide the parts and they will warranty the work. It's another $160 if the bearings need to be changed which I would probably have them do since they are in there. What do you guys think? Should I go the warranty route or have some of you had success bringing your own parts? Ring and pinion is about $150 new

I think the warranty issue has to do with an off brand bearing and seal kit, not you bringing in your own ring and pinion set. I've always used Ford Racing 8.8 rebuilt kit with Ford Racing IRS bearings and had them install with no void in warranty work from them.

Just buy a complete fab 9 or currie rear end. With all those strawberries you've been selling and illegal smog hook up's you should be rolling in dough.

Not getting enough business since the mod's have cut down on my advertisement. Lol I know those rearends will do it but I'll stick to building the 8.8 to withstand 1000+ rwhp one day which is what I plan on getting my car to put down one of these years so I can keep up with Texas cars.

Pretty sure that place in san ramon is the same place I went to a few years back. I had them install 3 73s on my 98. they charged me 220 for everything.
