Gorgeous car but call me extremely disappointed. I had heard the rumors about a TT V6 but looks like those are confirmed now. Call it wishful thinking but maybe it's all a ruse and they're really going to put a TT version of the GT350's flat plane crank 5.2L V8. The crappy dual clutch tranny is terrible news too.

To summarize: "Shoulda had a V8!"

Definitely a beautiful car. Not really interested in it though because it will be out of my price range.

Now the gt350R. Thats more intriguing to me. Only thing that stinks is, no AC or radio.

V6 with a early 90's-esque interior. FAIL sorry ford it looks cool from the outside tho.

Good looking car, but I am with the folks on here that want a V8 in a Ford GT. This Ecoboost crap needs to stay in the economical cars to reduce gas consumption. I want my Supercar to not care about the environment.

Ecoboost Fail. Not a big fan of the exterior as well.

Man I am a Ford FANATIC nothing but mustang since my 16th Bday but Ford is really losing me man the styling, the new Gt350 R with the nismo wing the pushing of ecoboost down our throats and now a V6 GT. Look I know I'm old and my thinking and knowledge of technology may be behind the times but sorry I want my Fords to have a V8, loud
exhaust and not be covered in decals.

This car is going after the super cars and this is no regular ecoboost this is a road racing beast ... This is a direct port dual injection ..has already has 15k road racing trouble free miles

If this car is running a V6 Does that mean they are saving the Coyote powered EcoBoost for the GT500 ??

It's a showcase car, Ford wants to promote their ecoboost line of vehicles. What better way than to say, "it's the same 3.5L ecoboost technology that you'll find in a Taurus or Explorer". My only surprise is that it doesn't eclipse the 660hp GT500. I don't think that bodes well for the future 2016 Shelby, I doubt they'd want a mere Mustang producing more horsepower than their halo vehicle. But, if Ford can get n/a 500hp out of a 5.2L, perhaps they can get close to 600hp n/a with the 5.8L for the GT500.

What a lot of you are forgetting is the main reason the car is back into production: The LeMans racing. The limit of the motor is 4.0 Liters and Ford can both stay under that limit AND promote their product by keeping the 3.5 Ecoboost as an option. I think the car looks amazing and if you haven't listened to it yet, do so. It's a good sound coming from what it is: a supercar.

What I AM disappointed in is the Ecoboost being put in the new Raptor. I don't remember if hearing any limits for displacement in those events [BS flag]

I recognize that there are homologation reasons why they would be running the 3.5L in the GT, however, it's a damn truck motor. It belongs in the Raptor more than it belongs in Ford's halo supercar. Under no circumstances should Ford's brand new supercar be outgunned in the power department by a 3 year old GT500. Weak.

Fords intention with the GT has ALWAYS been the LeMans.

I wouldn't say Ford is shoving the Ecoboost down anyone's throat. It just appeals to a different crowd. ( some like small displacement with a turbo, others like a V8 ) Pick your poison!

What class do they plan on racing in?

There's no way it will be outgunned by The 13/14 GT500. You know that after all the cars and races you've experienced.

662hp Supercharged 3700lbs
cs
600+?? Twin Turbo (current 3.5 hits 90% torque by 1500 rpms) and it's rumored to weight just under 3000lbs

Even at 600hp even it wouldn't come close, much less the real number (im expecting it to hit 640s at least).

Outgunned... as in raw horsepower numbers, not power to weight.

Everybody likes big v8s and big power but seriously a supercar like this needs to be well balanced and there's such a thing as too much power. .......I should know, I've played forza....

I read that for a little more scratch you can opt for the electronics package which includes a stereo and ac...
