I have a MAC tool box that is around 5 years old now. It's a great box except I made the ignorant decision of buying it in carbon gray. Looks great when brand new but because it's a flat, textured finish, it is a bitch to clean. The MAC dealer said to use winded since they don't have a matte cleaner. Doesn't work AT ALL. the snap on guy has a matte cleaner which I didn't know about until a few months ago. 4 months later and it's finally here. Works better than windex but doesn't completely lift the stains. What can I do to get these stains out. I used the snap on cleaner with a microfiber cloth. Detail guys, help me out! The detail guys at my dealership are worthless. Thanks

Interesting. I know detail has a interior cleaner (not sure what product it is, comes in giant containers and they dispense it into little quart sized bottles so they can use it on cars) but none of them suggested I try it. Should I try to see if what they have works, or should I just wait it out and buy the tough stuff that you were talking about? Don't know much about all the different detailing agents and the last thing I wanna do is permanently fuck up the tool box

There is some stuff at oreilly auto parts, think it's called purple power. That stuff is awesome. Works great in the garage and is also good for inside the house.

I have a matte black 4s, and this problem frustrated me for quite some time. All I use is 409 now. Nothing I have used works as good. Best perk is that it dries super fast so you arent stuck with the ugly streaks.
