I want to put a t56 in my fox but all I see are t56 magnum kits. Just wondering where everyone got their kits minus the trans? I'm just looking to price everything out for just the kit. Any help would be great thanks.

^^^ I love my T56! Went through 3 T-5s and will not go back. I went with a brand new D&D kit. No issues at all with the install and all good 4+ years later.

Yeah I'm on my 2nd t5 and don't feel like getting another one. The d&d kit is nice but I don't see a price for the kit minus trans.

I installed a 2.66 First T56 Magnum kit from D&D in my old Fox. It literally fell into place and the kit is top rate! It completely changed the car. I loved the tall(ish) First and the tight spread thereafter. It wasn't cheap, but it was one of my favorite mods. Too bad I sold the car. [ 2014-12-06, 01:40 PM: Message edited by: 3cRider ]

That's what I want to do a cobra t56. Don't feel like spending 3k on a tranny that's over kill on my set up.... Does anyone know if d&d sell just the swap kit no trans? If so how much does that run.

I had a t56 viper spec kit in my last fox. It was with a kit from d&d. I loved it. Even with it adding nearly 100lbs to the car it went .4 faster in the 1/4 mile. Cruising RPMs in 6th were super low. 1st gear was awesome and went from 0-55ish mph then close ratio after that.
Check out this first gear & this was with 3.73's http://youtu.be/dED_Z31VHN0

Cool. I'll try to find it. Would you happen to know the part numbers?

I installed a T56 Magnum into my Fox about a year ago. Its the smoothest feeling and best shifting Trans Ive ever had in my Fox. Best Manual Trans to buy on the Market. If you're in a tight budget then pick up an 03 Cobra T56, they are pretty strong. Install a 26 spline input shaft on it and you're good to go.

Yeah I'm on a tight budget so the t56 magnum is out of the question. Looking at a cobra t56.... My question was for people that have a budget t56 on their car.
