They're being recalled to try and prevent another lawsuit. The most recent lawsuit scared them in to action... So now they're recalling everything for the littlest reasons.

Odds are, other car companies who aren't in the spotlight due to recent legal action, have tons of cars rolling around out there right now with worse problems than this, and have no intention of recalling them or even letting anyone know there is a problem.
