Just got a quick question i have a cobra intake and in need of a intake spacer. will a 1 inch space clear the hood or will i be able to close the hood??? Or wich one should i go with?? Thanks [patriot]

You can check your clearance with playdoh!! Put a ball of playdoh on the highest point on your engine (mine is on top of my throttle body tube from the oil filler neck). Close the hood all the way, then open it and see how much it squished down the playdoh.

Just make sure the engine is not hot before you do that though.

The stock hood won't clear that set up. I used a cowl rise hood to get the clearance.

It might work if you use convertible motor mounts. That is if it's a fox body ,you never said what mustang it was.

Oh yea it's a fox mustang 1990 ... I tried the playdoh thing but I don't hit I'll have to try it again
