It's not that difficult to do at home in your garage. I rebuilt a TKO without ever having taken a transmission apart before. I got a VHS tape (it was a long time ago lol) from Hanlon (I think?) that walked you through everything, step-by-step. If you have the time and the tools, it might be something you could do.

Lol yeah I'm really thinking about doing it myself now and it's most likely what I'm going to End up doing. I was looking up the transmission diagram and doesnt seem to hard

john cervinni at sears point race way is the winning ticket, i used to do them but takes time and really hes a pro and does them for cheap besides what ever parts u might need, he also sell the parts at cost cheaper than u could get them for. 707 938 3979, tell him i sent u and you get a big smile lol. he builds f1 cars, i dont think u can find anybody more experienced and cheaper than anybody youll find, at least in the labor, he does not take any chance of abused parts but he will thoroughly inspects parts to see what u can get away with, but if hes he wouldnt recommend it, u just dont.
