After years of trying to find a clean classic mustang, I finally found one that fit the bill, both price and condition. Here she is, just got her today!
1966 Mustang C-code, 289ci 2V, C4 auto, etc. Original CA car built in San Jose, Ca.
Crappy phone pics - I'll get some better ones once the car is cleaned up a bit.
*On a side note, does anyone know what wheels these came off of? They're like Magnum 500's but they have the style ring and look painted underneath the ring
And here are the kids...finally able to enjoy one of my cars lol! I think they were sick of seeing track cars in the garage and not being able to get rides in them

Thanks bro! No big plans for now. Probably do some maintenance on it so I can have piece of mind when driving it around, then address little issues here and there. Biggest plan right now is to swap the wheels out for some Magnum 500's or the steel "rally" wheels with white-lettered tires to give it a more muscle car look. Other than that, this is primarily just going to be a cruiser for the family to enjoy

Thanks guys! This one will hopefully last a while UNLESS I can somehow find an affordable fastback, then that will be the end of all my car flips
Second2nun64...don't you have that grabber blue 64-66 coupe? What wheels/size are you running? I can't decide on whether to eventually go with Magnum 500's or the Steel Styled wheels.

Thanks fellas! I'm pretty excited with this one. Its definitely a driver as-is with minor details that I can slowly address while I enjoy it. The family (kids & wife) are pretty happy too being that they can actually enjoy one of my toys with me now
66_5.0, what rims are you running on your Azure blue coupe? I'm sure I've seen pics but please refresh my memory.
Also, does anyone know what model my rims came off of? I'm pretty sure they're not Mustang wheels, though they had the pony center cap and look similar to Magnum 500's.
I'm trying to decide whether to go with Magnum 500's or Steel Styled wheels. Any suggestions? Going for the "original classic muscle car" look rather than "custom" so I'm leaning towards one of these two styles.

I have REV wheels in 15x7, I bought them from Sac Mustang 4 years ago. I just looked their website up and it doesn't look like they carry them anymore but they are clean.

You can actually run a 15x8 too. I was going to do 15x8 in the rear 245 but was too impatient and have 15x7 all around, 235/60/15 in the back and 205/60/15 in front

I've always been partial to Vintage Wheel Works. These are 16x8's on one of my former 1965 coupes. I'm planning to run these same wheels on my '65 Fastback but in a 17x9 front, 17x11 rear.

I have a blue 64 1/2. I think you're thinking if a different members car on here. I currently have 17x8 torq thrust wheels. Before I ran 15x7 steel styled ralley wheels with 225/50/r15 in front and 235/60/r15 in the rear. If you want classic muscle, get the ralley wheels with some bf Goodrich t/a tires with raised letters in either 14" or 15" rim diameter.

Thanks everyone! I do like those vintage wheel work rims, but since my car will be geared more towards being an original cruiser car, I want to stay with a "stock" mustang style wheel.
I'm 75% leaning towards the Steel Style "rally" wheels, though the Magnum 500s look a bit more aggressive. I'll have to look at more pics to really decide.
I'd rather not disclose cost, but the price was significantly lower than what the previous owner's first price was when he posted it a couple months ago.
