So I want to have the chrome removed off my OEM Saleens so i can have them powdercoated gloss black since the chrome is starting to peel on the rear 2 wheels. Anyone know of any shops close to Hayward that can remove the chrome? Do they have to chemically remove it? Or sandblast it off? What would something like this cost? Thanks!

Typically chrome is removed chemically. High Lustre chroming in Hayward on American Ave would be a place to start.

yea I called them and they said they don't really do rims and it would be around $100 a wheel, found a spot in santa clara that can forsure do it for $50 a rim and it would take 1 day per wheel

I was hopping my impala one time and my battery wasn't mounted down and the battery acid spilled and ate up all the chrome on the passenger side suspension. Upper, lower A-arms, spring, drum and the tie rod I was shocked how fast it ate the chrome up.
