witch gear ratio do you guys prefer in a 4v cobra?? its hard to choose I do dig and roll racing, I like my 3.27s for free way pulls and now have 410s..whats ur guys best opinion on gear ratio for both dig and roll racing?

Stay 4.10 for 32v cobra. It works great on both

410 are nice which is what I drive personally but I wouldn't mind trying some 456's

I had 3.55s which are okay..4.10s were peppy as hell but i believe to really take advantage of the powerband on a 32v you need 4.30s or 4.56s

My last cobra had 3.73 and it felt slow I'd say 4.10 at least!

Brandon how do you like your 430s on freeway pulls??
I want the best for both worlds
personally I think 410s would be enough 430 or 456 might be to high for me

I wouldn't change my gears for anything but 456s honestly,410s are great but leave some to be desired in my o2..so in that case the 430s is where it's at for me,top of 4th is about 120ish an still pullin hard but like any car with 300rw it falls on its face eventually ha,at 70mph the RPM's are at 3k,a little up there but it's a 32v over head cam engine for cryin out loud,not to mention we don't buy mustangs and fast cars to save gas btw Uber before you sell your cobra we gotta have some runs my friend,my 96 is full bolt-on/tuned now so maybe ill have that 99 covered [ 2014-02-16, 12:49 PM: Message edited by: SIC9250 ]

haha we need to asap! im deff down for this one, not the first bolt on b headed cobra my c head crushed lol but who knows ur a better driver than that last 97 I raced lol!
when will we make this happen? im on the hype now

410s or 430s for an N/A 32v.
My old 97cobra had 373s when I got it, and they weren't low enough for me. I went up to a 410 and it was still great for trips on the highway for a couple hours on end. If I didn't take my car on long drives I would've gone 430s. [ 2014-02-16, 08:20 PM: Message edited by: 95gtdrop ]

with rolls and 99 percent of 1/4 mile races... gears make you "feel" faster but in reality your not... i had 430s in my cammed mach. and then switched to 373s.. huge improvent in feel and pulled alot harder altogether. the mustang community loves to over gear thier cars and make them worthless pain to drive... for example my 405ish crank? mach with 430s hit 118 in 4th... my 240hp 2 litler honda s2000 that revs to 9k tops 4th at 120... i prolly have 200 foot pounds more tq but we are geared the same?wtf
