Traditional shit...
North shore, the duke, black diamond, pineapple plantation, polenisian center, macadamia nut place and get a car to drive around for a day.
This should keep you n ur significant other occupied.
When in doubt use yelp. Ive found some good off the beaten path places with it. Hasnt failed me yet, especially with food.

Luau is a must. Germaine's is a popular one. Sunset dinner cruises are cool, Navetek is the party boat or the one that looks like a huge catamaran. You guys should rent the mopeds and cruise around.

Luau food is poo.
Hyatt still dont know which one but if its by Waikiki for a cheap snack man you gotta try homeboys brick oven pizza. I cant remember his name but it was delish. He rolls in a towable brick oven and starts cranking orders out in the parking lot.
If you want traditional real hawaiin food another place is down the street into the island by safeway, off kapahulo. It just depends how much you want to spend and what you want to do.
Id rather go to mau.i [ 2014-02-01, 03:44 AM: Message edited by: Fostang ]

+1 Do the traditional stuff on the first trip. Second trip you can branch out and do the less touristy stuff.

That's a must see. Make sure u go on to the USS Missouri Aka Mighty Mo, walk Diamond Head, I think International Market is close but if it's still open it's a good palce to get small gifts. My two favorite restaurant would be Chuck's Cellar and Duke's. I would recommend an Island tour if it's your first time. Have fun I sure did. [ 2014-02-02, 11:23 AM: Message edited by: cobra4v ]
