So from what it seems people with a manual rack are having some trouble, but with a stock rack they are fine? Or it's just a hit or miss with the kit. [ 2014-01-09, 08:00 PM: Message edited by: Pure Stang ]

power rack had to grind out the frame brace, cheap crap!and more than a couple the rack studs are always off as well. i hate to put one in a jig and see how consistent they are from one to another. granatelli makes a better product so there u go.

Hit or miss. Mine went in like it was from the factory. I have put in 4 of them and haven't had a problem with any of them. 2 with flaming river racks, 2 with stock power steering racks. Funny enough it seems like the newer racks are the ones with problems.
F.y.i Granatelli's are junk. 3 out of 3 installed had the misalignment of the rack bolts. 1 was so bad we had to take a hammer and some flame to get it close enough to even use it.

UPR K members are good for drag racing & what not, but I would be scared to run one on a car I drove on the street a lot... They don't seem very sturdy & seem like they would get stressed & crack after a while.

I'll be the first to admit. I don't put tens of thousands of miles on my car. About 2-3k a year tops. But I have had the wheels up in the air, with the front arms taken the full weight of the car slamming down on to them. And I haven't found 1 crack or any deformation. But if I was turning corners, I wouldn't buy the upr k either. I'd do the MM, Kenny Brown,or Griggs.
