I wish 3D printers were actually reasonably priced, I'd like to own one.

It really is amazing the way life follows art. So many things in science fiction movies have become things of reality. Hope I'm around when they come up with the way to beam between the USA and Tahiti in 2-3 seconds.

You can get a 3d printer kit for 700.00...... But that's not a metal one. Think in the future when people who suffer from bone cancer being able to have a full infected bone removed and replaced with a metal one. The future medical advancements from 3d printing is going to be incredible. When they figure out how to print human organs its going to be crazy.

Yup. I'd say in the next 50-100 years we will have figured out how to have Scottie beam items up. Think what that would do for importing & exporting things. My CDL would become obsolete...... I'd have to figure out how to operate the transporter LOL.

I just reddit a few minutes ago. The resolution on it looks pretty crappy, but the next generation might be better.
I'm thinking about picking up a Makibox. They're $300 for a more conventional 3-axis extruder.

I'm looking at picking up the makergear (bot) m2 . Thing is sick, a little pricey but I believe it will be well worth it once I can afford the 3d scanner
