Topic: Long tubes installed need advice

hey guys and gals here is a quick run down of my car
308, 165 afr heads, holley systemax II, f cam 65 tb with 70 mm egr spacer, vortech on 5 lbs
cars numbers with jba shorties and hi flow catted h with flowmasters put down
431rwhp 425 tq
now it has bbk long tube 1 3/4 headers with bbk off road h pipe still through flowmasters i just finished the install
my question is which mufflers should i run 2.5 all the way back. i hear alot of people downing the flowmasters.
any changed or ideas anyone has please share thanks

ive always liked flows but thats just me. its all in the sound you like really.

I had Bassani on all mine with the exception my 05 GT which had the Borla type S.
Bassani and Borla would be my choice. However my first set of mufflers I ever bought were 2 chamber flows...and it sounded nice.

Bassani or Magnaflow would be my choices hands down. Magnaflow are quieter, but have a nice mellow tone, until you step on the gas, then they scream!!! Bassani just sound Nasty without being overly loud.

I'm also a fan.of flow master exhaust it's really on your preference, but in my honest opinion the other stuff your just paying for the name, the other brands really don't out flow much more then just the ordinary so called "flows" 1 chambers for the win

I like my Bassani Catback with longtubes, seems quieter than having some Flowmasters for daily use

mac flowpath hands down. Flow extremely well and sound great. Sound like flowmaster but with the performance of a magnaflow muffler. Magnaflows sound super quiet at idle and even under wot unless their magnapacks.

I had mac long tubes, mac prochamber, and mac pro-dumps. Gave it that pro-stock sound at idle, and was loud as fuck when I got on it. Daily driving wasnt too bad, as long as the rpm's were kept reasonable.

I have run 12" race bullets in the 2.5" with shorty headers and loved them. Sounded stout. But I now have borla xs2 in 3" & kooks long tube headers on the car now. And it sounds great.. Not to loud even with no tail pipes.

The borlas sound nice and mellow, even with the long tubes, and 3 inch exhaust. The bullets sounded better, but they were louder then the Borlas. And that was with shorty headers, and 2 1/2 exhaust. So they would be even louder in 3 inch and long tubes.
