If he has it listed as heavy traffic, your in luck. Couldnt hurt to fight it as its no loss for you either way but time. . As far as the fine being reduced you'll hear in your arraignment that its a mandatory fine and can't be reduced. Unfortunately I've had to many tickets over the years I can almost recite the arraignment speech!<br /><br />Recently got a speeding ticket. Decided to fight it. Fighting tickets these days isn't how it has been in recent years, whether the cop shows up or not, the district attorney(or assistant) is now sitting in on most traffic trials. So even if the cop doesnt show up(usually dropped in the past) they (DA)will ask for a continuance until a time that the cop can be present. Ive now showed up twice to trial and the cop didnt.
