I would like to switch to e85 on my 13' gt but don't know much about it. What are the goods and the bads of running on e85. I'm about to order the injectors to do the swap and get it ready for a tune.

Bad: less mpg than gas

Good: higher octane, cooler combustion temps, cleaner burning

Thers a e85 station at the corner of my house so that wouldn't be a problem. What are the hp gains going from 91 to e85?

All motor 11+ 5.0 we see 10-12HP gained over 91.
ET drop is typically .1-.15 seconds and MPH increase at the track is typically 1-1.5.

You will need injectors as the stock units are too small.

Its not that its close to your house, its that you'll need to carry gallons of the shit if your going on road trips out of california. I dont think there are any stations in reno, and i doubt there is elsewhere. If your turning your car to strickly track vehicle and are going to do something like boost or turbo then its a good idea. otherwise id leave it alone especially if its a commuter.

Xcals hold 10 tunes now. When I do E85 tunes I also do Gasoline along with a tune that runs the fuel pump full time with the key ON, and it takes $20 in parts to easily drain the fuel tanks.

I get these calls all the time.
The only major issue is getting the fuel where you live.
As everyone says, it burns faster, so you will go thru tanks alot quicker.
I usually recommended this to guys who are looking to do it to a car they race, and not to a vehicle they daily drive....or is your only car.
What we do is create 2 tunes.
1 is done using 91octane for your normal everyday driving, and the other for E85.
We have been doing this alot lately on Terminator cars, and a few of those 7th street warriors.
Its a lil work to switch pulley's(boost), drain fuel, and flash tune to ECU....if you are switching between tunes.
I explain in detail how to do it so the customer doesn't mess anything up.
As 93pony says, you'll need larger injectors, and E85 friendly pumps.
N/A the gains are minimal, but boosted cars are a match made in heaven.

Do you care about voiding the factory warranty on your new 13 GT?

I would assume that a 2013 GT has a warranty on it.

The warranty has been void since the car had 2k miles

Make sure they are the LU47 units designed for the Coyote and not the GT500 take offs.
Different injectors / different injector data required and we only have the 4 bar injector data for the LU47's.

Ford Racing. Just be aware they sell 2 different 47lb injectors. You want the LU47's.
