Once your a paramedic you get sucked in and are always in the ambulance and never get to fight fire. The best thing you can do is go to an academy and then apply to departments, if your in really good shape apply to the Forest Service, maybe get on a hotshot crew or an engine. That's what I did and I've gotten tons of certs and experience from It. my specialty is aircraft rescue and firefighting but i still get to do structural firefighting. And for the next couple of months I get to work at the base fire department which is awesome all the guys there are civilians( retired military) and the get great benefits and good pay <br /> </font> </td></tr> </table></td></tr></table> <br /> <br />
