yup..and he was blowing them up left and right before he decided to have a built bottom end.
Hmm ive seen some turbo 5.3/6.0 make 700+ on a stock bottom end holding for yrs. Must of been that nitrous..

Nah. Ive had many many many of them apart and all ls motors are not created the same.
With some having floaters and some having pressed pistons.
Cracked capped rods....
Ehhh well.
They may make that power for awhile but they wont stay together for years and handle years of abuse especially with shit gas or a tune issue.
Id say if you got a good lq9 floating pin longblock with like 317 heads and put a small cam and good valve springs on it, gapped the rings....it may life for awhile but id put different rods in it.
