Local customer brought in his new 2013 A6 for some modifications. 1500 miles on the car.
The AED crew installed the following: Off Road H-Pipe JPC Over the Axle pipes GT500 Axle back TVS Blower with 82MM pulley AL Driveshaft FRPP Rear end Girdle Ford Racing 65MM TB ID 1000's JMS BAP (along with some suspension parts from his 2011)
Below are the dyno results (SAE) on Pump 91 octane and E85.
Absolutely ridiculous numbers thru the stock engine/auto and we did NOT run out of fuel with the JMS BAP / ID1000 combo. Another 10% more power and a much cleaner power curve from E85 due to near MBT spark advance. (Pump gas numbers with 17 degrees peak timing)
We will be taking this car to the drag strip soon. Due to the stock gears / converter we are not expecting stellar ET/MPH, but it should be an easy 10 second Daily Driver.

There's a black box on these cars now, would that be used against you? Even if you stripped everything off and tried a warranty claim?

The dealer may not find anything, but a Ford engineer can..

Scary, but these numbers are freaking rediculous with your standard blower, supporting mods and your tune. Great work, see you in 3 years.

Factory warranty for a factory car. Can't blame Ford for enforcing that.

In house gauge showed 10psi. Most 82MM TVS setups show 9-9.5
Imagine what 15psi from a Whipple 2.9 would do! (Actually we've already crested 800RW running out of fuel with that setup on a 10:1 built motor +E85).

Those are awesome numbers! No way I could give up my factory warranty though. My next car will be a coyote, should've waited another year instead of buying a 3V.

Very nice, the TVS is a great blower. I'm looking for a '13 or '14 5.0 and it'll get an Aluminator, E85, and a YSI. That'll be a perfect street car.

Wed the 12th street drags..car runs RIDICULOUS
That is another customers car. He's a paralized Vet. He's got a KB 2.8 and it came in running consistent 11.7's. We changed a few things, added 2psi, E85, throttle body, off road pipe, bigs/littles, and he's gone 10.4 so far with Hand controls! He wants 9's.

Warranty on a boosted high compression engine? Absolutely not. A couple hundred dollars in tuning does not mean covering 10K (parts and labor) in the event of posssible failure.
Mod at your own risk. My job is to do the best tune possible while maintaining quality drivability.

If your car comes in with a base engine concern , and there is reason to believe that there has been PCM modification , then ford can ask for the PCM to be sent to them. Had this happen on a 2013 boss came in blown to bits ! Track key was installed and was towed in with the key. For it to be covered under powertrain coverage the car had to be on the track and no other mods to the PCM or vehicle can be present. They can check latitude and longitude in the PCM off of key cycles and DTC codes set. This customer was in fact on the track and was racing at the time it let go so Ford covered the claim. Only because it was a boss and the track key was being used off the street so the Warrenty is valid for the boss.If they found that the key was being used on the street Warrenty void. So long story short if they want to pay hardball Ford can figure it out...
