I never understood why you'd pay for a new car then add all the "professionally installed" look-alike parts, paint them, and pay for all the stuff you don't want to / can't do... Then there's the little or no gain in resale value for a "custom" ride.. Oh, then there's the difference in the engine / suspension / brakes/ diff/ transmission qulity. The cost ends up being the same as getting the real deal. I've seen used Shelby's in the $35k-45k range.
