I loved my RC51. But I fell off a bike and fractured one of my vertebrae and have frequent lower back pain now. Riding a sportbike just wasn't possible any more. I feel alot more comfortable on a harley and like the way it looks, and sounds. plus its kinda cool being able to ride on long trips with my girl cruising listening to music. The local Harley dealer had what they called Demo Days. They took their entire rental fleet and as long as you had an M1 you could go for about a 10 mile ride on as many bikes as you wanted, all day long! I rode as many as possible, but ultimately wound up liking the softail.<br /><br />After that I picked up a 95 Heritage Softail 80" and beefed it up. Head work, carbs, cams, exhaust etc. My favorite part was the amount of cool stuff you could buy. I had bags, windshield, a couple seats etc and they only took minutes to put on or take off.<br /><br />Maintenance? Just the normal. Change oil/filter, clean carb filter, fuel filter.
