OK if I'm readin this correct. You want to know if a 87-93 will swap straight into a 85? Yes you can use it all. Everything dash, tank the works.

I know It will Bolt up. I already have the full swapp I just need to chase down a few gremlins.

For example My gaugues dont work. I dont have them connected guess u have to splice the harness and wire the gaugues a certain way?

And I have a battery drain If I leave the battery posts conected It will drain the battery.

Im trying to get that done up and have her running legit.

I've done it about 20 years ago but like said everything fuel lines, dash, rear end everything. I had a t-boned 88 and parked it next to an 84. The only thing I can remember was that a 1/2 inch gap between the windshield and dash. It took a couple weeks with a few hours a day and trial and error. 21 and didn't know much about mustangs.

Should've bought a 87-93 and saved yourself all that work! Why not leave the dash as is? And just do the efi conversion

It has the 85 dash in It I dnt want the 87-93 dash in a four eye. Ive owned a few coupes and a few lx's all 87-93 Im done with that look for now.

If anyone has done the conversión and has gotten the dash to work lmk I need to figure It how to do It.

The hardest part is done car runs exept no gaugues work. I just dont want to splice wires with out knowing what goes where.

then I believe your best bet is an 86 dash like said above. I'd check on foureyedpride.com, I've seen that conversion thread by v8only and it breaks down the process very well. goodluck
