going to finally ditch sprint in favor of verizon cause the service has just gotten terrible in my area.
Currently still rock'n an evo4g and will be going to either a
Samsung SIII
OR
I-phone 5
Really leaning towards the SIII because the camera is sick ,price point is great and I have watched a shit ton of videos of various things it can do.
The I-phone 5 just seems like its a slightly upgraded 4s and nothing else. although my buddy who works apple said the A6 chip is really the selling point because its faster then all the other phones on the market.

I dipped on sprint went to verizon they are way better , id go iphone5 , ive got the iphone 5 and the galaxy s3 and i like my iphone5 over my bigass samsung

I have sprint and stay in vallejo too. Other ppl who have sprint say their service sucks in this area too. Am i the only one who doesnt agree? Ive never had problems with dropped calls or data speed over the last 4 years. I have the evo 4g and in january i will be upgrading to the s3. All my friends who got the s3 love it and it has a big ass screen! Ive heard mixed things about the iphone 5 and i like android phones better anyways.

I was with sprint for about a week, worst service ever. I felt that it was worse than t-mobile, the family travels a lot so we really got to test it out. I had the iphone 5 with sprint, it wasn't that much better than the iphone4.
I ended up with the razr hd from verizon. Only reason why I got it over the s3 was because the battery last forever. Verizon ftw.

iPhone 5! It has better antennas which means better cell reception, the LTE speeds on like for like comparisons on S3 devices always seem to come out in the iPhones favor. That new processor does make a huge difference in app smoothness and response times. But some people prefer the bigger screen vs actual performance. Either device is a good choice, I went the I5 route and don't regret it one bit. (I'm an AT&T's network and I must admit, the LTE network seems to be faster than Verizon's)

Only complaint I have with iPhones is some video formats won't play.
Flash player being one of them. I really like 90% of apples OS. Very simple for us non technical guys LOL.

well i have sprint and my service has been great i had it for 2 years and maybe out of those two years i only had 3 drop calls. internet has been good too. i have an evo 4g and ready for the note2, and i play around with the iphone and really its fast but nothing special. the samsung s3 its just as far as the iphone.

Agree with this.....I have the s3 and serv is good only sux at my house and sprint sent me the airrave free of charge now all my issues are legit s3 for the win

i have sprint and I've had service issues since Sept 7th. I've called in over 30+ times to have this issue resolved. turns out there improving their towers for 4G LTE service. ![[Roll Eyes]](rolleyes.gif) I've talked with the call center, technician, store manager, and even account managers and have only been offered $25 credit on 3 months of poor or unusable service. ![[Mad]](mad.gif) i even had a Sprint rep tell me to leave Sprint and find someone better that can accommodate me. wtf I don't have girl problems. they even told me they'll call back with an offer an have never done so. Every time i call i'm given a different answer. I ditched my EVO 4g in favor of the iPhone 5. I'm on Sprint and have no complaints. Between the S3 and the iPhone 5, both are great phones. Try both at the store and go with your preference. I did and ended up with the iPhone because I prefer iOS over Android.

my contract was up yesterday with sprint never had a problem with them I looked at the galaxy 3 and it has a 1.5 dual core processor not bad but the galaxy note II has a 1.6 quad core processor and has a 5.5 inch screen and is HUGE !!! that is my next phone

S3 is the shit. The screen has better clarity and is bigger than the iPhone5. The speaker also puts the iphone5 to shame.

I recently went from AT&T with an iPhone 4S to Verizon with a Motorola RAZR Max HD. I had no issues with AT&T and loved my iPhone, but I was given a free phone through work with verizon service so I had to ditch my iPhone...saves me some cash every month too lol! I don't think anything gets better than an iPhone... no touchscreen phone can touch how well apple's touchscreen works.
One thing though, Verizon's 4G network does seem a lot faster than AT&T's 4G network.

The i5 is awesome... If today's date was 2010. The screen is way small, even by 2010 standards. Also, the interface hasn't changed. It's still the same crappy interface from the i1.
S3 FTW. Android is way more customizable and the S3 is awesome. Everyone that asks to see mine is astonished at how awesome the display is and how fast it is. If the S3 had a penis and the i5 had a mouth, you can figure out what the outcome would be.

People will say their phone is faster or more responsive but really it's about the same overall. I do admit that somethings are more fluid on one phone over the other but in the bigger picture they even out. The differences are minimal and it really comes down to which interface you prefer.
The A6 is proven through benchmarks to be the fastest out there. But it does not always translate into a faster phone For example, say you are multi-tasking using third party apps and going between documents, tasks, and a browser. Android will load the information/programs in the background so when you switch back and forth between apps they are already loaded. IOS6 loads third party apps individually as you use them so it will not be as efficient but technically it has faster loads if you benchmark each individual load.
Now, say you are browsing the web and want to go back to the home screen to find an app. The iphone will be faster mainly because IOS6 homepage is static while the S3 homepage has a busy screen with a lot of widgets to load.
The difference is like comparing a top of the line Ferrari to the top of the Lambo. Both are equally as fast and expensive but it's just different strokes for different folks.

Everyone compares their POS phones to an Iphone. Why, because it is the King of all phones... I've had an Iphone since the 3G hit the streets and have no complaints. Who could hate on reliability, ITunes, also everyone has a charger for you!!!

Either way I go, Im bouncing from sprint!. Their service has actually been great till about early sept. Then the dropped calls and etc. started. they gave me this speech about improving antennas for 4g, and for me its like I've been paying for premium service for 2 years with the promise 4g is coming to my area.
instead Ive had to settle for spotty 3G at best. work is close to home but out in the cuts and my work verizon phone gets great reception there, while my sprint phone drains the battery looking for signal.
If I have shitty reception at home and work with no 4G service well....... thats where I spend 90% of my time. I can care lesss if I get to use 4g for the few hrs I'm in SF a month.

I have verizon and I was going thru the same dilema. I ended up getting the iphone5 (I had a droid before). I didnt get the s3 because its too big for my hands, im not a huge dude. The only reason I would have bought it wouldve been because it was $50 on black friday but the assholes had that deal for all carriers except Verizon. Things I hate that my droid had are the following.
THE BUILT-IN IPHONE GPS APP SUCKS, IT WILL GET YOU LOST! I have to use that garbage WAZE APP. Which sucks too but not as much.
YOUTUBE APP IS GARBAGE, NOBODY HAS A CHARGER BECAUSE THE CHARGER IS DIFFERENT NOW. TEXTING WAS BETTER ON MY OLD DROID. I MISS MY WIDGETS.
A few other things that I cant think of. I kinda miss my droid but im getting used to this whole iphone thing

I've had Verizon since middle school, they're the shit! I think I can honestly count all my dropped calls on my fingers. I currently have the the 4S N it works everywhere my aunt ALWAYS complains about her iPhone(AT&T) not having service but my phone works perfectly. I mean my iPhone acts up just a tiny bit sometimes kuz one time I was washing my car N I accidentally forgot my phone was on the hood N well yeah it got soaked all I did was dry it with my shirt N kept using it.
