the trim on my quarter windows is worn out, however I do not want to spend $350 on new quarter windows, is their any solution to restoring them? would sanding them down and painting them work? or should I just buy the covers on latemodelrestoration for $70..??

Depending on the amount of "sun rot" you have, it can be sanded down with 450 grit wet and dry sandpaper. The mouldings sold at LMR, I'd stay away from. You can also ask around and find the windows that might or might not need and work. [ November 15, 2012, 10:50 PM: Message edited by: *Als50* ]

I've seen people use filler and sand them to make them smooth, then paint

OP's first post states he doesn't want to cash out 350 fr brand new ones let alone "flawless" ones for 300

I wouldn't want to cash out $350 + tax and shipping either for new aftermarket ones.
