so i put some fresh sod in my backyard and ever since then ive got animals using it as a bathroom, not only killing some spots of grass but piles of u know what in the middle my lawn is pissing me off since my cats are indoors and there should be no crap in my lawn.
what can i do to keep them away? i have auto light in the back yard already but thats not doing the trick, can i spread anything or spray anything on the grass?
the only thing i keep finding online is to keep the area clean which it already is.....
need some help!

invest in a BB gun. Have fun while deterring unwanted visitors.

Im assuming cats, raccoons, possums. My dad suggested amonia in a bowl. Something about the smell keeps them away but have yet to hear that one from anyone else

Found this online...
Citronella works best for cats as well as citrus scents (primarily towards cats), cayenne pepper, coffee grounds, pipe tobacco, lavender oil, lemon grass oil, citronella oil, peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil, and mustard oil.
"Havahart's Cat Repellent" uses capsaicin pepper and oil of mustard as its active ingredients. It repels by both taste and odor, has a lemon scent.
Every animal responds differently to each of these. Some will not be phased by them and others will be quite revolting.

My in-laws put out a motion detected sprinkler in their back yard. Like a porch light, it detects motion and the sprinklers turn on for a minute or two. Seems to work for him!

Used to have raccoons messing with our cats so I used a bb gun and shot thru the screen. Pretty fun but if they started shitting on my lawn I'd bust out baseballs and chug from close range lol.
