I'm looking to buy some sundown audio sa-12s. Any one have any experience or heard them in person? Only seen YouTube videos.

I did car audio for 4yrs, never heard of the brand...id stick to kickers jl or alpine... Ive got nothin but good things to say about those brands personally.

kicker,jl,or rockford is who i recommend i dont go with off brands they seem to not last most the time

That's normally the brands I buy I was just looking for something new like sundown audio, Re audio,dc,orion

Orion has good stuff of quality I've had a set of subs from them jus don't be cheap

Sundown is one of those underground companys. They make great stuff from what I hear. Orion is made by DEI now IIRC. Buy it, and find a box with the correct air space, and i wouldnt doubt it hammers.

look into audioque hdc3 or audioque sdc2.5 I've heard nothing but good things about those 2 subs and supposably hit harder than a kicker l7. [ September 15, 2012, 09:48 PM: Message edited by: ed650 ]

That's because you never installed underground products, main stream in the competition world. The worlds best run full sundown subs and amps. If you never heard of FI, mayhams, DC audio, soundstream, DD's....you haven't been the industry long enough. You will never see alpine or kickers at a show, except for a wall of solo X's in a can.

I have a kicker 12" Solo X custom box & a kicker zx2500.1 amp serious bass I would do kicker I have also had a jl audio W7 13.5 and same amp...sounded good but kicker is worth your money...

Sundown audio is a great speaker- and the Amps are strong enought for allot of abuse- there more of a comp- db speaker- but great products-

Ive dealt with alot of off brands underground brands, hifonics, diamond audio, elementals, focal.... I work for MASA in san rafaelwhere we did stealthfinstalls, fiber glassing, spl, and clarity systems, but for commercial those are what i like unless your ready to spend real $$$

Since when is focal and hifonics underground brands. Can't go wrong with image dynamics,re audio,dd etc

I like/own a set of BOSTON ACUSTICS G5's the last year thay were made in the good ole U S A only down side's #1 sitting on a shelf is no bueno #2 dont want them to get stolen and sold for crack or 20 bucks
