I like to use a baseball bat at first to get that first bend then finish it off with a fender roller, been using the same baseball bat for past 23 years.

Lee was so cool today he enjoyed the work he did which made the experience all the better in my eyes. Not to mention I pulled up scraping tires and left riding quiet an smooth love my new fenders lee thanks again and thanks for the fuel tank grommet and hooking me up with a new sway bar because the stick that comes factory looks more like a long shiskabob lol

Here is my race car that I did with a baseball bat and hammer years ago to clear a 15x10 rim with a 28" slick and it took forever, using a roller saves me a lot of time.

I don't use a heat gun, tried it didn't think it helped, original paint doesn't peel much, I have never had a paint problem on outside of wheel well, I don't see how a heat gun can help on the inner lip when you bend it 45 degrees.

Yea lee was telling me about the heat gun thing but he has a point with og paint vs new paint. And also your not touching the outer fender so what is going to help? The inside where you can't see? [ September 05, 2012, 01:12 PM: Message edited by: LXjames ]

i was watching those dent repair guys and they heat up the paint just for those reasons, i tried it when i do it and it seamed to help,i try and get it farther in, almost to the edge, more like what i think i seen how u did on your race car, that looks way more than 45 degrees, or can i not see the pic right? but im no pro at all. i found it better to do it before its painted for me for less draw backs. and ur right 45 degrees on the original paint doesn't have many problems to begin with. id like to get that same tool u have an use after the base ball bat.

if the inside peels from crack paint of the bend, it will grow to the out side paint where yes u can see, but he did a gd job, i didnt see a single crack of paint!

As long as you give me a Title, I will tow your car away for free, I can always use a free parts car.
