Vtown is correct when it comes to open carrying pistols, however there is no restriction on open carrying a rifle or shotgun (as long as it is unloaded). It's only a matter of time before the hippies Fuck that up too. But for the time being, u can legally open carry an AR, AK, MOSSBERG, ETC. Now even though it is legal, u are still going to be bothered a lot. Cops will tell u it is illegal, so its important to know ur rights very well. Keep a tape recorder handy too while being confronted. The only thing the cops can legally do is 1. Make sure its not loaded. 2. Make sure ur not a felon. And 3. Make sure u aren't carrying where prohibited I.e. by a school.
Cops will also try n ridicule u by Saying u are doing this to be cool or to get attention. Fuck em cuz It's ur constitutional right to open carry. Cops will way that u are scaring people. Big fucking deal, that's because Californians dont understand guns or the laws regarding, time for them to learn.
Let's recap. No pistols. Just rifles and shotguns. Unloaded, u can have a loaded mag ready to go on ur personal tho, just not in ur gun. Know ur rights, know where u can open carry and make sure u are in compliance. Speak as little as possible and record ur encounter with the popos. And again, know ur rights.

Open carrying is fine and well within the limits of the law (I don't know much about the types of CCW permits you need, never looked into it) but if you're carry like that just to get a rise out of someone as well as the trying to get video of making the cops look bad, well, you're doing it for the wrong reason.
To me, this kid was making himself look like an ass and trying to make the cops look bad. Answer the damn questions so they can check you out and let you on your way. He got all the drama he instigated and intended to get. Get a life. ![[Roll Eyes]](rolleyes.gif)

no, they cant check if you're a felon if you didnt do anything wrong...only to make sure the rifle is not loaded...not even the serial number can be ran.

Wht tease the cops? Thats why all these bullshit laws get passed. People bragging on tv how to make their ar15 ca legal,then that shit is about to get banned. I know its a right to own a gun and i feel law abiding citizens should b e able to ccw but with all these pussy's in the senate its not the time to be challenging laws.

Agreed. I lived in Tucson, AZ for 7 years and There was very little gun related crimes, Go figure who wants to rob someone with the possiblity that either the victim or bistandards are armed sounds legit to me.

It's never good to just pull a gun over road rage, people pull knifes, Bat's or just can beat you senseless, But for the majority of the people that actually carry a firearm for protection will only draw it when they feel truly threated.
