Every poker site you play on now has to be based outside of the United States. They all take from 2-4 weeks to receive cash out money. I don't think they can wire the money they would have to send you a check. My boys play on rpm poker and bovada it takes a while for tables to fill up. Don't play on cake poker that takes about 4 months for a cash out.

I have an account on Lock poker and I still play from time to time.
Problem is there aren't any real sums of money passing through that site.
Another one is America's Cardroom. They actually have the largest running guaranteed weekly tournament of all sites in the US.
In my opinion, if you are trying to play, save your roll and play live. There are plenty of tournament circuits in Reno/Tahoe/Bay Area/Vegas during this time of year now that the WSOP is over. And of course, you can always find a cash game running.
Just a semi-local events:
Thunder Valley Players Championship: Running now. Main Event is this Sat
Peppermill Deepstack Classic: 8/29-9/2
WPT Circuit Event Atlantis Reno: 9/14-9/24
WSOP Circuit Harvey's Tahoe: 11/11-11/23

What stakes do you play? If you play anything above 100NL or 200NL, don't bother. Better off playing 500NL or 1000NL+ live.
If you are playing small or micro stakes, then pretty much any online site is ok that is mentioned in this thread.
Lock, America's cardroom, Bodog, etc.
Lock's UI is a little buggy. But, the way the UI works is similar to PS and/or FT.

Actually, some sites are quick via Western Union and it is reliable.
Lock poker cashes out within days or faster using Western Union. If you have a Western Union card, it's even faster.
A friend of mine gets money within hours.

Online gambling is illegal. It's a federal crime. Dont do it. Banks are very well aware of the charges associated with those sites. They will shut down your account and report you to the feds. Go hit up the local indian casinos if you want to loose money. Good reason to go up to reno too this weekend.

I'm sorry but there is so much ignorance in this post..
Online gambling is NOT crime. Being a business which is accepting payments which are in conjunction with an internet bet or wager is illegal. (UIGEA 2006)
Please don't make comments based on your opinion or your misinterpretation of the law.
No bank is going to shut you down and no one is getting reported to the feds!
Second poker is different from gambling in that it is a game of skill. Playing against the house is always -EV. For good poker players, poker is +EV.

People on here are talking cash payouts which is gambling. If you don't think online gambling is illegal, explain why full tilt poker was shut down and why you can only find these sites outside the U.S. Also, I can make comments on anything I damn well please. If you dont like it, ignore it. And yes, banks will report these things. If you were in the industry you would know this. Think about this too, if it was so not a crime like you led to be they would not use third party processors to process the payments as front to hide the true illegal activity. Ya, spelling fails when you've been up 14hrs mid week. Would you like me to call you out on every one of your posts? haha I'm by far, no where close to the worst speller on here. Plus, what I'm saying is not personal opinion. Read up on it before jumping on with your "opinion". [ August 09, 2012, 01:01 AM: Message edited by: Secnd2nun64 ]

Gambling is NOT illegal. The reason why FT, PS, etc., were shut down was because they were in violation of the UIGEA act of 2006. UIGEA act does NOT say that gambling online is illegal. It says that being a business accepting/dealing money as a result of internet gambling is illegal. The physical act of you as a person gambling online is NOT illegal.
When you gamble online, all of the physical risk is on the company. Not the person gambling.
Second online poker sites are outside of the US because it is far easier to obtain a gambling license in other countries. No brainer business decision.
And last, I am in the business. I play poker for a living. I've had traffic through my bank account for years.
Lastly, as far as using a third party processor, aka money laundering, this is one of the allegations against FT. This was to circumvent the UIGEA act. Again, all the risk is on the company NOT the player.
If online gambling was illegal, it would not have generated all the sponsorships which have been in place since 2002.
All of your posts are about opinion, there are no facts. I put a lot of work to generate an income at the game. It's really frustrating when people make moronic statements about a subject they don't know anything about.

Why don't you read up on it? If you did, you would know the distinction between the legality of online gambling and the UIGEA act.

Anyways, OP, did you find a site to play on?
I just noticed your location and I believe the closes cardroom to you is that one in Napa.
Haven't heard too much about it though.
