I'm looking for a watch that can take a beating. Casio G Shock watches seem to be really popular in the military so I'm sure it will suit my needs just fine. I like the fact that some are rechargeable by solar, have a compass built in, etc. This one in dark earth caught my eye: http://www.gshockmobile.com/products/Master_of_G/G9300ER-5/?override=y
Anyone have one of these watches? How do you like them? I'm usually not a fan of big bulky faces but I'll give it a shot. I went Ponline and I can't find that watch for sale ANYWHERE.
Or if you have some other brands and models you would like to suggest, please post up!

I've been thinking about getting one too, check out Suunto watches, they're pretty badass, a little pricy though.

You talking about Great Mall? Where in the mall do they sell them? I stopped by Valley Fair to see what they had.
I saw those Suunto watches but immediately passed because of the price. Look nice though!

yea swiss army watches are great quality and have swiss movments which are waaaay better than japanese ones. but on a budget you cant beat a g-shock. i actually have a casio pathfinder that i bought awhile back but never ended up using, its only been worn about 3 times and i paid 300 for it. make an offer if interested
it looks like this, and has all the same features: http://www.justforwatchesonline.com/Casio-PAW1200T-7-Mens-Pathfinder-Titanium-Solar-Atomic-World-Timer-Alarm-Watch_i17112 [ August 06, 2012, 12:54 AM: Message edited by: SydewayzStan ]

I have a couple G-shocks!! The main one I wear and use on the daily is the G-shock I bought from wal-Mart. Runs about $60 bucks, and reliable as heck and can take a beating! Then I have the classier ones from Macy!! But other then that, great watches for a daily!

What type of work do you do? I work in EMS, I have tested a few watches and none (IMO) compare to the G-Shock, it can handle anything, Its comfortable, strong, durable and reliable. In critical/life threatening situations or everyday use, it's always ticking...…

I work in IT. That's not where I tear up watches (minus when I have banged my Seiko reaching into a server rack or something..) but I'd like one more for when I go camping and such. I just ordered a G-Shock online:
I like the band that's on it with the stainless steel and the clasp. All of the other ones are Resin. The dark earth mudman is pretty badass too, but can't find it anywhere.
