I just got a 60" LG Plasma that does 3D and its awesome. My last TV was a Mitsubishi DLP and the 3D was amazing but they have such a large footprint this is the next best thing.

Technology has advanced 10 fold in the last few years...plasma refresh rates are 600+ standard. LED has 240 o_0. Plasmas do put out a bit more heat but not enough to make you say "f that" get a plasma and don't think twice. Better picture and better all around..

LED has brighter colors, last longer and uses less power. Plasma, better bang for the buck and good quality picture.

I've noticed that too. Plamas emit heat.

Plasma, hands down. Better black/white levels, realistic colors, smoother motion, cheaper, and the anti reflective panel on the new Panasonics is real good. Heat is not even a problem anymore, go into a Best Buy and feel a Panasonic that has been on all day, they almost put out no heat. Energy consumption is a little higher then an LED, but were talking maybe $5-$10 more bucks a year. There is a reason why 4 out of the 5 top rated TV's are plasmas!!

Oops.Maybe its just cause they look brighter.I dont know, for some reason the onces ive seen seemed to have a real sharp picture. And i dont like that you can accidentally "burn" an image into a plasma screen and f it up.Or maybe that was something else, lol.Maybe ill stick to cars and stay out of electroucs threads,LMFAO!!!!!!

Costco TV's are not the same models as Best Buy, and are a lower grade. For instance their Panasonics do not have the anti reflective coating on their panels. Best Buy will price match if their price is higher anyways.

Just an FYI........ The industry that I'm in exposes me and my technicians to all brands, shapes, and sizes when it comes to TV's. And I must tell you, Sharp in recent history has had alot of issues with HDMI compatability. They're pretty good about providing firmware updates via the net, but just something to keep in mind. Panasonic is the best bang for the buck when it comes to Plasma quality, clarity, and reliability. If by any chance you do consider LED, Samsung is the best choice, just make sure it's a 720 clear motion rate. Just my 2 cents.
