its around 9.5:1 iirc, boost friendly yes, better question is how much hp it can handle, if its a 5 speed it'll have a forged crank, shitty other internals. there good for up to 450rwhp safely anything over and your pushing it

+1. High compression, low boost makes same power as low compression with high boost, depending on internals of course and it's safer. IMO..but agreed on hp limit 450-500rwhp MAX [ July 12, 2012, 10:16 PM: Message edited by: SL0BRA650 ]

If I do go boost ill go turbo just want a sorta fast dd thats reliable and wont brake everytime I race it

Boost it with low boost. Gotta know the Stock internals limit. Doing nos I think it's cheaper overall For installing and tuning but you gotta constantly keep filling up that bottle in the long run depending how you set it up.

Eaton swap it ..
lots of people run over 450rwh , just with a good tune.
regardless, do gears and longtubes.. youll love it

I bought a Mach a few months ago and like it alot. Make sure to do a compression test before you buy it.

Best piece of advice right here.... A lot of good pointers, pretty much summed it up.... Just remember, with 32v cars you gotta PAY to play, a good tune is a MUST in whatever application.

See those eatons cheap from people upgrading to whipple on their cobras. What does it take to actually do the swap? More than just the blower, intake, injectors?

See those eatons cheap from people upgrading to whipple on their cobras. What does it take to actually do the swap? More than just the blower, intake, injectors?
timing cover,tensioner,pulleys,pulley bridge, lower,intercooler,blower with sensors and egr equipment, harmonic balancer, heat exchanger, IC pump,ic hoses and relay, fuel setup, tune or cobra ecu, etc...Most piece it togethor for about 1500-2400 depending on how much they spend on used parts.
because of the CR on a mach, the stock 8# pulley usually nets you near 450rwh with almost no bolt ons with low timing..

Mach's are the BEST &n most aggressive looking new edge Mustangs IMO... Free chance to pic whore my old baby...
I wouldn't recommend putting a blower on the stock bottom end though. Regardless of what people say about having a good tune, fuel system, etc, the stock internals don't last long behind 450rwhp & a heavy foot on a Mach.

yes yes black is the definate way to go......for the first three days or week if its garaged, then expect to invest in a personal detailer or get good with a buffer and good quality swirl remover, learn the two buckett washing system, stock up on micro fibre towels (and leave them with the car), wax of course, sealant to top off the wax, and after all that still expect to be washing and fighting swirls every 3-5 days, other than the headache of keepin her shiny i think they are dope cars
