My old bumper had 1,000,000 rock chips on it, I want to protect it. They are expensive but do great work. One was around $950, and the other around $1,500. They are hardly perceptible, even if you know where to look. Regardless of who does the install, black will make the bra more visible. Overall, I really like clear bras. I don't drive my car much, but I feel that it does offer a lot of protection from rock chips. Before I had it installed, I never liked to drive my car because I was afraid I'd get a rock chip... now I can drive it stress free! <br /><br />On a side note, my brother has done two installs himself. If you try this, I would recommend getting a pre-cut "pattern" and watch a few videos on line. I think you could probably get a decent one for somewhere around $600. I would expect to pay a few hundred for a DIY pattern, so that would be a far cheaper way to go...
