Just started my carpenters apprenticeship a couple months ago after doing a couple of years as delivery guy for this fairly big construction company. We specialize in interior finishing (ie: FRP/wall protection, handrails, crashrail, cornerguards, and restroom partitions to name a few. Well to make a long story short, I misjudged gravity and my strength. Had 100s of pounds of material tilted onto me and pinned me against a wall. Tried my best to hold it up but weight + gravity > me and my right arm. Snapped like a twig! So remember kids, eat your vitamins and drink your milk! Hope you all enjoyed my super cool story, bros. Here's a pic.

Thanks for the well wishes fellas. Much appreciated. Very hard to adjust to using my left hand but oh well. Gotta do it. I'm sure this situation could have been a lot worse but thankfully it wasn't. As far as the surgery went, they put a stainless steel plate and 6 screws through the radius bone. The ulna was definitely fractured but say it'll heal on it's own since the radius was straightened out. Should be fun going thru metal detectors now.

So do you have to get surgery to get that fixed? That sux!!
I broke my arm when i was kid, same bone. Imagine take a straw and cutting a bunch of vertical slits and then pushing the ends together so everything splinters out. I did that in PE class blocking a soccer ball.
