I do remember every new stage they would hurt for a few days but then you would get used to it. It was great that no one knew I had braces which helps if you're self conscious. The other thing is it taught me to be very clean and meticulous with my teeth. Feels disgusting to just rinse it after drinking or eating anything. I brush them EVERYTIME I eat or drink. If I go to restaurants I take my kit with me and just brush up in the restroom.
