So someone said that if you have a cage in your car, it's not a street car no more
So how many people have cages? I'm thinking of going to F.O.D to get a 6 or 8 point cage

There's nothing wrong with a street car having a cage. If someone is scared of a street car with a cage then that's their fault...

there's no law against it. i recommend it. but if u have a cage in your car, and you or your passengers don't have helmets or properly belted in. the cage can seriously fuck you up. there is cage padding that well help.

Yup I agree. I like the way some cages look on some cars. Padding is a must IMO

I had a 12pt cage in my 87 coupe, set up for road race/autocross setup. One thing I can tell you,, is the weight transfer is different. I had full m&m and custom chopped springs. Slammed low. Very rigid, almost NO chassis movement. However, when trying to launch from a dig, this setup would only spin tires.!!! Through the corners is a different story though!!
Daily driven might I add, it sucked though climbing in and out with no swing out bars and also the 5pt harness was a bitch getting into because of my Corbeau non adjustable bucket seats. Lol [ June 09, 2012, 05:14 PM: Message edited by: TACH2MX ]
