On a side note i do miss the old 2001 745il. thing was like a living room on wheels with all the tv's. soo comfy and smooth. Traded it in for an 07gt and not looking back haha.

Regular maintenance isn't that expensive. What gets expensive is repair work when things fail...

I loved mine but it was always in the shop, it only had 30K when I sold it back to BMW, loved the ride, loved the power, loved the looks, great gas mileage, but too many problems no matter what year you get, just get a good warranty and get use to driving a courtesy car.

+1 02-03 7 series are headaches and nightmares. But benz does not kill BMW at all in any way lol BMW has better handling, performance, power, cheaper maintenance/cost. What else is left?

Dont do it..Had a 2003 745li and there were always some type of lights telling me there was a problem. One time the battery completely died for no reason(heard is was common)...Had it for only 2 1/2 months then got rid of it.

I own one right now just like Lees and they've been pretty trouble free other than the typical things that went out...
