Its going to be a good day today so i am planning on going fishing. Were in the bay can i go fishing??

Are you going to be on shore or on a vessel? Next what species are you trying to target striper,halibut,sturgeon,salmon? For salmon on a vessel head 25-27 miles out the golden gate about just 4 miles south of the islands on the San mateo county side that is. Now for halibut on a vessel get your trolling gear and hit up Paradise,the outskirts of richmond harbor,the south bay(Alameda rock wall), from shore for the halibut Paradise pier or southbay spots. Now striper from a vessel not needed right now on shore rodeo,Hercules,Pinole there out there throw top n bottom rig with pile worms.sturgeon are in the same area to but best results for striper and sturgeon would be up river rio vista,brannan island,isleton...well good luck catch them remember fish the tides. [Big Grin]

Westbay. Just want to catch some nice eatable fish nothing big i am jus a beginner this is going to be my second time fishing

Alameda rockwall is a good place to hook into leopard sharks/halibut this time of the year. Just need to be in decent shape lol.
