Ya, it's the new engine. Little taller and wider than the 289. It's much tighter fit than it looks like in the pic. Not much room for the air filter at all. It takes a little work to take it off as it sits right now. I read somewhere about a s10 air intake with a little mod can put the filter up where the battery is. There's little room in though your going to pick up lots of heat no matter where it is in the engine compartment. Might need to upgrade the radiator this summer to an aluminum one.

My 289 put down some good power but this engine is at a whole new level. This one has tons of torq and when the boost starts it you get white knuckled on the steering wheel. I'll be ready for some drag racing at sac maybe this summer.
