Wasup Fellas.... Just checkin back in since I haven't been on this site much in the last year.
For those newer members that aren't familiar with me, I have been a VERY active Cafords member & resident Pic whore since 2007, but I took a step back from forum life in mid 2011. For those of you who know me & wonder where I've been this is my story...
As some of you know, I posted up about losing my good paying job back in October 2011, which at the time that it happened was a pretty detrimental blow to my life because like everyone else I have bills galore... I was also denied unemployment for the 1st 3 months, but appealed the ruling & won after my previous company decided to not show up to the hearing. This was a great victory for me because we all know the job market is SHIT right now...
Well, some of you may know that I have also been an active DJ/Producer since the mid 90's, & have quite a few accomplishments under my belt in that field, but having a good day job kinda made that more of a hobby the last 4-5 years. Well, after losing my job, I was scared & wasn't sure what I was gonna do... But one day I realized that losing my job was actually a blessing in disguise because it made me realize what I should've been focusing on all these years, my music career!!!! U can say it was pretty much a swift kick in the ass telling me to pursue my dreams & goals while I am blessed with the opportunity of getting unemployment. Hopefully I can use this time to develop it into some sort of career... Well see?
These days I am VERY active with my music & I am happier than I've ever been!!! I am working on a solo record featuring all original production by myself with various talented Local Sacramento artists, & artists throughout Norcal on vocals (mostly Hip Hop & R&B). I will hopefully have this out by mid summertime. I also am very active with my DJing career. I currently DJ around 2-3 nights a week at a few different venues in Sacramento, but I am always looking for more gigs so if you ever need a DJ feel free to contact me ( I play any & ALL TYPES of music).
So that is my story just in case anybody has been wondering "What happened to EPIK??" LOL.... I still own my 05 CTS-V, & my 91 LX coupe BTW. The Notch is currently up on jack stands getting the trans rebuilt & my Novi 1000 will be going on shortly. It's just tough with my budget....
Have a god day y'all... [ April 16, 2012, 06:18 PM: Message edited by: *EPIK* ]

Thanks bro, I appreciate the support. I think you will definitely dig this current record I'm working on... Well, I'm definitely not "ballin" by any means, but I'm getting by for now & I'm happy, so thats what is most important to me. When I was working at my last job, yeah I was making good money & was able to buy things when I wanted them, but I will admit that I HATED my job, & dreaded waking up m-f because of it... Sunday nights were VERY depressing too LOL...
Hopefully I can develop something over this year to where I can make a decent living off this, I would rather not go back to working for someone else, but I will if I have to once that time comes. Hip Hop music is my main thing, but I am looking into DJing more weddings to pay the bills (weddings pay GOOD money)

Good to have you back. We have encountered one another on here before. Cool dude in my book. So the music that you posted above is all original and produced by you then ? If it is, that's a cool accomplishment to say the least.

Thanks bro.. Where did we meet?
Yup, all the music is produced by me & is 100% original besides the fact that I use chopped up & spliced samples from old school records on many of my beats...

Still drums for now... I have Cobra rear rotors & pads already, but need the calipers, lines, & the North race car brackets... Not really a priority though at this time!

Dustin... good to see you back, man. Life is funny sometimes. What at first feels like a major setback can actually end up being a really positive thing.
It was good talking with you a bit the other day. Like I said, we'll pull something together.
Wednesday is Mustang night and I'm planning on taking the Boss again. Any chance you might make an appearance?

What about his reply is ass kissing? He is a musician himself, & has actually been familiar with my work for a while & we have spoken about music many times here on the board through threads & PM's. [ April 16, 2012, 08:03 PM: Message edited by: *EPIK* ]
